JS Prasoplarp is a free, GPL-licensed looped Thai sans from the JS Technology family by Panutat “Dr. Jimmy” Tejasen and Busaya Tejasen, shipping a Regular and a matching Italic. It is one of the more than 100 JS fonts that came out of the earliest era of Thai digital typography, released free to the public in 2006.
According to the ThaiFaces specimen page, the JS family began in bitmap form and moved to vector, with a first release in 1993 and a 2001 re-encoding by P-chanSoft. That lineage makes JS Prasoplarp a genuine artefact of the pre-Sarabun generation of free Thai type, alongside JS Jindara.

Character design and tone
JS Prasoplarp is a looped (มีหัว) Thai sans with even, largely monoline strokes and conventional loop terminals, drawn for text rather than display, with a companion italic. The tone is quiet and utilitarian, consistent with the document orientation of the JS text faces.
The looped consonant heads on ก, ด and ม stay legible at reading sizes, the recognition advantage of looped Thai discussed in our Thai typography guide. With only a Regular and Italic, the family carries no bold, so hierarchy has to come from a paired display face rather than from weight.

JS Prasoplarp ships as two TrueType files — Normal and Italic — i.e. a single weight with an oblique, and is free to download. Get it from the Thai Font Collection on GitHub, which distributes the JS Technology fonts as free software.
The font is not on Google Fonts and has no official webfont build, so web use means converting the TrueType files yourself — permitted under its terms, but the QA burden is yours.
