What iannnnn-RABBIT is
iannnnn-RABBIT (กระต่าย) is a Thai handwriting typeface released free for commercial use by Prachya Singhto in December 2025, with four free weights: Thin, Regular, Bold and Extra Bold. It is the widest-spaced hand in the designer’s animal series, drawn deliberately loose so it stays readable in running text.
Four free weights is the widest range in the series, and effectively the widest of any free Thai handwriting face outside the Google Fonts catalogue. The designer also offers a “fluffy” variant of all four weights to donors, but the four standard weights carry no such condition — they are free outright.
RABBIT is the newest of the tidy hands in the series, arriving four years after iannnnn-DOG, and it reads as a refinement of the same idea rather than a departure. See handwritten Thai fonts for where it sits in the wider category.
Character design and tone
iannnnn-RABBIT is the designer’s own handwriting drawn with deliberately wider letter spacing, a choice the release page names explicitly as a readability decision. Spacing is the usual failure point of Thai handwriting fonts: Thai stacks vowels and tone marks above and below the baseline, and a tight hand collapses those marks into the consonants. Extra sidebearing is the cheapest fix, and RABBIT takes it.
The letterforms carry a faint serif-like finish at the stroke ends, which gives the face a slightly more considered air than a pure casual hand. Coverage spans Thai, English, numerals and symbols.
Tonally it is warm and unhurried — a written-out hand rather than a dashed-off one. Against Mali it is looser and more personal; against iannnnn-MONKEY it is far calmer.
Weights and availability
All four weights — Thin, Regular, Bold and Extra Bold — are free, distributed together from the f0nt.com release page. The donor-only extra is a separate “fluffy” styling of the same four weights and is not needed to use the family properly.

Best use cases
iannnnn-RABBIT is the series’ best choice for running text — the wide spacing and four weights make it the rare handwriting face that can carry a paragraph. Strong briefs:
- Long-form handwritten body text, worksheets and study notes
- iPad and tablet note-taking apps where lines run long
- Editorial and social layouts needing a handwriting hierarchy across four weights
- Packaging and menus with a warm, personal register
Where it does not fit: formal and institutional documents, and anywhere the loose spacing wastes column width. Pair it with Sarabun or Anuphan when the layout needs a neutral text face alongside.
Licensing
iannnnn-RABBIT is free for commercial use: the release page states the font may be downloaded and used for both personal and commercial work without asking permission, and the designer’s f0nt.com page carries the free-for-commercial badge on every release. No payment and no permission request. Browse the rest of the verified commercial-safe set in free Thai fonts, and read the Thai font licensing guide before shipping any Thai font in client work.
